I have been thinking about trying a riveted maille project. I will be using 16 gauge rebar tie wire for the rings since a couple other archive members say it looks good and is easy to work with.
I can not figure out how to make the rivets or punch the holes.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Engenulf.

Rivets-
You use a piece of wire, flattened out with a hammer, then clipped into wedges.
Punching holes-
Make one of those tools, or punch them with a sharp punch on a metal block.
