Mail sabatons used with late german plate?

I'm away from my references at the moment and was wondering if mail sabatons were used with 15th C german plate?

i believe most 1450s era greaves had or have mail holes around the bottom for mail sabs

I thought it was purely an Italian fashion.

I agree, I'm not even sure you would find it on export armor. Just like the extra plate below the knees they used to attach a fringe of mail, it seems to be exclusively Italian.
