Lorica Segmentata

Post by Branmor »

I'm getting back into SCA fighting, and starting to put together a set of armour. I'm considering a building a set of Lorica Segmentata. Anyone use it in combat? How well does it work? Does it provide decent protection? Impede movement? Thoughts?

Thanks,

I've been using lorica for quite a while now.
Works great.
Very flexable and also very protective.
The only problem with it is it can be too protective for SCA combat.
It will take a bit to get used to the calibration in it.

Don't forget the subarmalis though, it goes with the lorica and is almost as important.
