I was watching a show on the science channel of all places, called The Making of a Knight. They did true jousting and such in a medieval recreated event, it was beautiful... how accurate it was I am not sure..
anyhoo - between runs, a few of the contestants would raise their visors, and their "squire" or "man at arms" or whoever would insert a wooden prop to hold the visor up. It was flat and notched on both ends and just propped the visor open.
Is there any evidence of accuracy to that?
I thought it was a cool idea, just never heard of it before..
thanks...
Visor prop?
