AB and I have the web site up

Post by Dragos »

YES!! AB Hammer has gotten the web sight up and updated. There is alot more to be done, but its on.

The web sight has combined Dad's Creation Time and my Apprentice Armoury together. We have also added parts and kits to the system for those who need repair plates or kits to start with.

It's not compleat but it is well on its way.

Thanks and take a look

So, my opinion of Alan's stuff is top notch, but his timeliness and communications was less than acceptable.

Has he improved in those areas?

Why not give a short blurb about what the different entities are about? I don't get "Creation Time" verses "Apprentice Armory".

Read the page, You can not make and order from a distance, you can only purchase what is on stock, unless you are willing to come to my shop.
I don't allow the Apprentice Armoury to take orders eather.

It reads.

NO CUSTOM ORDERS OVER THE PHONE OR MAIL.

CUSTOM WORK IS DONE FACE TO FACE

MEANING YOU COME TO THE SHOP, OR REPEAT CUSTOMERS

STOCK WILL BE POSTED FOR SALES ON THE IN STOCK PAGE

Simple and strate forward

Apprentice Armoury is My Sons part of the buisness ment for the SCA markit, and what ever armour I sell through him for the SCA.

The Creation Time is the Co. that is being developed for the historic markit and is how I am regestered. A very good question. Thanks

We don't have alot stock photos listed, due to there isn't alot of stock on hand assembled but will be shortly. Dragos is working on stock and I have been working on some but mostly my obligations

As for the blank photos. You should only have them on the stock pages at this time, but there should be some photos there. If a photo is on the stock page, I have that on stock or I may have several, but I havn't added the size and list section of the pages yet.

Please let me know where you may have the trouble with the sight, there are a couple sub pages that may have 2 photos and one X, That is due to I havn't found that photo. Not long ago I had a hard drive crash and I lost alot of photos, so I have a bit of reconstrution of my photo files.

If you have sujestion, I'm all ears.

Like you mentioned, I'm sure most of the pictures are just not available yet...

In any case, this is where I'm seeing the "?" (missing pictures)

- German Gothic
- Milianese 15C
- Besegews
- Vanbraces
- Standard Legs
- Legs

- (anything you have marked 'pending')

- Instock - Brass Supply

Just a thought, for the areas that are waiting for photos or instock product, maybe you could create a little icon of your logo as a temporary filler until things are available. It would get rid the the question marks.

Besides that, the site is easy to get around...

Nice Job,

You are correct, I don't have photos for those yet, some due to missing photos from my files or I just haven't gotten newer photos due to improved design. But they all will be coming shortly

Thanks Sigeric, I will get an Icon for that.

I can see pics of the leather and steel arms but when I click on them I get the red X of death.

Those are working now. They are older photos and as soon as I get another batch of leather. I'll have new photos with the newer elbows or couters on them.

The site works fine.
Great looking helms. I like the brass or bronze work.
How do you etch the designs in?

Halberds

I still use the old acid ways for etching.

I have looked at the salt water type but, it will be a while before I try it.

Hey Alan,

Great stuff on the site. Too bad you're only doin' custom work in person, but, I can see where you must be comin' from! I can only imagine what kind of hassles long distance customers must present with custom orders.

You have some wonderful looking helmets, and I really like the bascinets! The Churburg breastplates are also great looking. Lotsa' neat stuff!

I hope the armoury continues to prosper and grow! Best of luck.

I like the kettle helm. I've worn the White Mountain one for a year and it's a bit heavy for someone with a neck like mine (but you get used to it). What's the weight of the AB Hammer one in SS I wonder? Anyone have one?

I use to make them along time ago and the one on the web page is a newer one I built for one of our locals, and is probly simular in weight due to it being all 14 ga. stainless, with 1/4 bar stock.
