Well, it took me long enough, but it is finally done.

I hope this helps some. The roll you see in the demo took me about 5 mintes to complete.
I will post a picture of the breastplate when it is all done as well.

Ah. Some questions.
- What gauge steel is that?
- Did you anneal it first?
- How far were the guide marks from the cut edge?
- How far beyond the marks did the cut edge end up, or did it line up evenly with the mark?
- Are you using two different hammers? One looks domed and polished, the other looks more or less flat-faced.
- How did it go around the arm hole? That's a rather tight curve there.
- Was there a wire core inside the roll? (doesn't look it.)

Gauge: 14 hot roll mild steel.
Anneal: no.
How far from edge: about 1/4 inch or so.
How far past line: about 1/4 inch or so.
Hammers: one. it is a peddinghaus 400gr plenishing hammer.
Arm hole: went same.
Wire: I don't use wire. It isn't needed.
Hope this helps.
