TFBO Online auction - wanna donate items?

Post by Halvgrimr »

Hey guys

If your like me you have a closet full of 'things I will use sometime'
If your like me you know in the back of your mind that those things probably wont ever really get used, they just take up space;)

Starting the 1st of April I will be hosting a month long online auction and the funds raised will go toward funding a large scale Hastings reenactment I am hosting next fall.

I am looking for anything folks are willing to donate. Fabric, trim, old wooden bowls, old horns, etc.

This will be open to the public so items don't have to be Living History
quality.

Almost nothing will be unwelcome as long as its Viking-ish (that includes Norman things as well...urg!)

If you have items you'd like to donate please contact me.

I wont really need the actual items right away as I plan to make it known that all items are to be picked up at the event unless otherwise arranged.

So pics of the items will do for now

Please feel free to pass this email along to other Viking types that you think might be interested.

So far I have rounded up the following
http://www.vikingsna.org/auction_items/

The actual auction will be hosted at
http://www.vikingsna.org/cgi-bin/auction.pl

Thanks ahead of time and I appreciate the help

ps Halberd and Roderick have already donated nice itemsd, thanks guys!

Those arrows really look great but unfortunately they are a little weak for teh bow that I use (arrows rated at 35# and I pull 58# at around 29.5"). Guess I will keep my eyes out.
Westerners, we have forgotten our origins. We speak all the diverse languages of the country in turn. Indeed the man who was poor at home attains opulence here; he who had no more than a few deiners, finds himself master of a fourtune.

I guess I should add that the arrows are made to meet the combat archery standards of The Vikings.

As we wear no armour and open face helms we limit the bows to 35 lbs or less at a 28 inch draw.
