Start of Season Special

Post by Black Swan Designs »

A comment on another thread about "an outfit for about $200" prompted me to do a bit of comparison shopping.

According to our website, you can assemble the following outfit from Black Swan Designs' offerings for about $200:

$12.....Linen Coif, M or L
$45.....Dagged wool hood
$65.....Linen Bocksten Tunic, One size fits up to 45" chest
$40.....Linen St. Louis Shirt, S, M, L, or XL
$18.....Linen 14th C. Braies, S, M, L, or XL
$35.....Linen Chauses, size M or L
$215..TOTAL

I was pleasantly suprised to discover that our regular price is $37.70 cheaper than the regular price of similar items offered by another vendor, and $24.95 cheaper than their discounted package price for the outfit! 8)

Although I'm pleased to see that we're holding true to our comittment to offer the best prices on medieval clothing, and even though I think our regular prices are a pretty awesome, I know it's been a hard winter for a lot of folks. Tourney season is just beginning, and I know how nice it is to start the season off with a spiffy new outfit. Those reasons are why I'm taking that $200 price point as a personal challenge. For the next 2 weeks I'll discount this package to $199* to get the season off to a great start for everyone.

We have a selection of tunics and chausses in new "natural dye" colours in addition to our usual range of jewel tones. Although dyed with modern colourfast commercial dyes, I've specially chosen these colours to match colours achievable with natural medieval dyes such as madder, weld, indigo and brazilwood. Order early for best selection!

This AA special does not appear on our website so to order select the items individually and enter this code in the "Order Comments" section of your order form: 031205AAGN. Be sure to include the code so Francena will know to give you this special price!

Thanks for your support! :D

Hi Rayne-

You mean small sizes and not underwear, right? For gals who are doing a male impression we have size small shirts and braies, and the size M chausses are usually small enough for most women. The tunic will be rather large on any woman smaller than a modern size 14 though.

A female outfit for under $200? Give me a few minutes and let me see what I can come up with........ I love a challenge! :D

Oh, and thanks Jehan.
