pop/beer can tabs.

Post by Armourkris »

A whileback i started making a shirt out of these... stole the idea from mad mat, but i used a different method of joining them, different weave i supose, mine ends up looking more like lamnelar or scale

but anyways, i digress, i have used every tab in my house, in my friends houses, and need more. none of us are big can drinkers...

does anyone have any ideas on where i can find more of those little tabs?

When our school was collecting them for a fundraiser (I was a teacher there not a student), we asked if we could put a bin for pop tabs at the local Knights of Columbus. Within a month, we collected a ton of tabs.

Maybe an establishment like that recycles them and would sell them to you, or let you do something similar.

Maybe a recycling place would have an idea.

Of course, you could always come over here on game night. Our group goes through at least a 24-pack of mountain dew each evening. Image

Check with your local bar. If they serve can beer they may have a ton of cans every night that you can get them off of.

If anyone needs any of these, I save them. A while ago we used them at some church related charity, and i dont know if they still need them, but i have continued to save them. I have 5 or 6 gallon milk jugs full of them.

Stump there's pics in the shirts section of my site.

And for collecting tabs. I used to go out late at night on the night before recycling day and pull the tabs off the cans in people's blue boxes.
