I fought in my Medival low boots from Revival Clothing this weekend for the first time and LOVE THEM!
I had a local cobbler put on a Vibram sole that I picked out from his catalogue.
Total price, about $100 for medival fighting shoes. The cool thing about these is that I can easiy fit my ankle braces in them, which are a requirement for me now. Traction was superb, movement was excellent, and they looked sharp as hell!
My only small complaint is that I forgot to bring the sports insert with me and my feet were a little sore breaking in the new shoes.
But that is no reflection on the excellent product from Revival!
Also, I had a chance to fight a Pass with Brian Price's Talhoffer 1467 warhammer head. Wow those were fun!!! I tend to fight polearm like a short spear, and I love that I was able to use the shape of the axe head to intangle my oppenants weapon and parry into a thrust. (Thrusting tip from Mandrake armoury...) Overall it was an excellent weapon and I hope they get picked up society wide.
Kind Regards,
Sir Bryce de Byram, OL

Sir BdeB, i have tryed to fight in my revival low cut boot but found them to "slippery" and can't afford any ankle or leg injury's.
i love my revival boots though and would love to fight in them...how much was it to add the mundane soles to your boots, if i may inquire ???

The vibram option is kinda hard to find on the Revival site. You get the option to add them when you check out, and I don't eve remember it appearing on your total ($25 more, I think - but I may be misremembering). I think it's a "note" field on the checkout page. Look again.
I got a pair of these just a couple of months ago, and will never fight in anything else. If they go out of business, or stop selling these boots, I may have to hunt them down and kill them...
