This is my second project (currently working on a nondescript 14th century kit http://forums.armourarchive.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=43969&highlight=). Its from the animated movie Jin Roh. I plan on making this for LOOKS ONLY, its all 16ga. hot rolled.

I took the flares out. I need to get someone to weld the three "spikes" on the right (pictured) shoulder..

this poor poor piece of metal, i changed my mind so many times what shape it should be its not even funny.

i dont know about these, I'm thinking making then in one piece or two like a knee cop with a fan.... PLEASE tell me what you think!!

BTW- Rivets are freaking fun!! *BAM BAM BAM* "you are rivited sucka!"

all ideas and comments are welcome- remember I'm super new at this, i know it sucks so don't waste our time saying that. The more i work on this the more imperfections i see- its quite maddening!!!

Wow all you need now is the German helmet.
So far so good. What are you going to use for straps?
You might have found 18ga. a little more forgiving, I know sometimes the 16ga. can be tough.
