Might I plead that you offer him some gentle guidance, and help him to alight upon a less inherantly comical name.

Hi!
Baron Guy once hailed from the lands of which I recently was Baron. I believe he even started here. I have known him for .... a long damn time. I don't say that to brag, but to show why I am not surprised to hear anyone praise him, especially in the vein of Aaron's post.
Everywhere Guy has gone, he has proven his worth above most and even as he reads this post and all that is formerly been said of him, he will convince you there is another worthy of the praise he receives.
The wisest of men I have known believe the measure of a man is how he leaves those around him.
I have not always been the man I am now. Since I have always admired Guy le Strange, I must credit some of that to his example.

Being very near and dear to my heart, I have the utmost respect for those gentles across the seas for what they do.
I was fortunate enough to serve as Baron of the Far West (I won the Coronet Tourney while Sir Guy was deployed, LOL). During that time, I was privledged to meet some folks from 4 different countries, all doing their best to live the dream. As you can imagine, you can't just "go to an event" like you do here. Everyone in the group has to contribute to be successful. When we hosted an event, I was Autocrat, Marshall, Kitchen Staff, Landocrat, as well as participant. And I was not unique...and I loved it!
I complain now because I have to drive 4 hours to get to Gulf Wars. These gentles overseas HAVE to fly to get where they're going, almost always at great expense (it cost about $500 minimum to fly from Guam to Korea, for example).
It was difficult (and costly), but I wouldn't trade the experience for the world.
So, Sir Guy, I echo my congratulations to Baroness Ysabelle and Baron Sporran. Further, I salute you, and all the members of the Far West for your sacrifices. You honour yourselves, your King, and our Society.

Sorry if I was not clear. The History Part was Baron Sporran.
As far as Aarons post about me I think he is suffering from writting one to many military awards, we tend to blow things up a bit on them. I fight hard enough so that I don't turn away the newbies and travel to help the groups in the area get off the ground and try and give them support then need, I am meerly following the example of Knights I have seen and have had an influence on my shaping. I am not traveling enough nor helping enough to satisfy my standards. Work tends to get in the way. While the barony is doing well, it could be doing SO much better and I think will be under the new Baroness and Baron. The two of them will bring together the groups in japan far more then I could, they have a purlity od spirit that I as my time as the Dread Overlord did not have in my dealings with pretty much everyone. I tended to crush, stomp and burn while I think they will be better at handling things a bit more softly.

It never entered my mind to talk to his Excellency about changing his name. Baron Sporran is a fine name for a fine man. I am proud to call him such. This is just one of the many ways that the Japanese play slightly different then the rest of us. If they take joy in the naming of themselves in such a manner I for one will not take that joy away from them. With the level of their armor, Baron Sporran fights in full plate to include sabaton's, he can call himself whatever he likes. The man is a poet, plays the pipes, an artist, a scribe, sews, has done sculpture, leather work, rides a motorcycle wearing a "Bobbie hat" in Tokyo and makes 18th Century English Naval Coffee (I am not sure what this is but I sure as hell want some). He is "Da Bomb"
Her Excellency however is working on rounding off his rough edges, she has been trying for a year though.. .....
