Req: Gleann Abhann Crown Lyst Schedule
Can anyone tell me a rough schedule for the Gleann Abhann Crown Tourney, aside from "at the pleasure of Their Highnesses." I am driving in from East Texas to witness this historic event and I have local obligations Friday evening, thus plan to leave home very early Saturday morning. I would like to be there before morning Court, but I would also like to get some small amount of sleep tonight. If anyone could give me some guidence at to when things will be starting, I would appreciate it. For most Crown Tournies, I would just ask what was typical, but "typical" doesn't exist in this case.

Wow - I'm glad I decided to check my email before leaving home.
Armor inspection 7:00-8:30 (you read that right). Procession to begin promptly thereafter. Fighting starts after they mange to get 30 or so combattants introduced to the crown (9:30?).
Then it's going to be fight, fight, fight until it's done. There is a tenative schedule for court and feast, but it's subject to change at very little notice (or none at all).

So am I. You're just the fish that I was hoping to catch in this net, in that I seem to recall that your better half is the Autocrat. I was hoping that you would do like I tend to do and check your e-mail (and the archive) before leaving for the weekend.
Thanks a bunch,
Richard

I've met him personally and he's very cool, even if his wife thinks I'm an internet apparition (my tendency to _not_ make events) If Marvin would win, I could honestly say there's SCA royalty I've had a couple of double-kills with! (It was off-hand single sweord, ir he;d have waxed me in short order)
