Armour review - Ken Zicker - stainless arms

Post by Anton »

I just received my arms from VK Arms... Ken Zicker here on the Archive.

I ordered 18ga. stainless arms, typical vambarce/5 piece elbows/rerebrace. I was quoted 240 dollars, 4 weeks.

What I received was exactly what I ordered, in 3 weeks, on budget. The communication was exactly what any armourer should strive for. He told me the measurements he needed. He then told me when my wrist measurement seemed wonky and indeed it was so a potential issue avoided because he knew what he was doing. I told him I wanted a brushed finish... he asked for a couple of pics so he was sure what I was talking about and nailed what I was asking for spot on (stain finish is the proper term). He then busted out the arms inside of 3 weeks including delivery. He took pics for me as they were cut out, as the first one was completed, and when they shipped. Perfect communication.

The arms are excellent. They show no gaps and they are ready to be strapped and used. They fit wonderfully and don't gap/bind/restrict movement. The wrists are slightly flared and the edges are rolled. Plus they're pretty :D

Communication: A+
Serivce: A+
Product: A+

If every on-line shop was run like this, there would be no second thoughts about on-line armouries at all.

thanks Ken!
