I got bored today and thought I might mess around with an idea I had for some splinted leather cuisses for the high youth combat divisions. Here's the result:

The main plate is 8-10oz leather with 14-16oz splints

Splinted Leather Cuisses ( Pics )
What we do in life, echoes in eternity !!!!
I like those!! What did you do to trim the edges around the front side? It looks like a rolled edge on a plate piece. Did you use a channel making tool to make it look like that?
Good job!

Catherine's Quest is no longer in business. I may open back up at some point in the future. Thank you all for all of your support over these last few years. It has meant the world to me.
It looks like he used a saddle stitch groover. Uilleag shows what it looks like in his shovel greave tutorial. Its adjustable so you can set the distance you want from the edge to the groove.
I forgot to add, they look very nice. What kind of rivets did you use? They look like some sort of jiffy or speed rivet. Will these be used with some sort of knee cop? If so, how will you suspend the cop?
