Saw them on a site...I have the book, but have never seen a decent reconstruction of the Wisby gauntlets.

Compare them to the ones Valerius and Magnus made, and come to your own opinion. They also have a nice little how to on the same page.

While the first pair show a "understanding" of the "philosophy" of the wisby gauntlets but for many reasons it can't be definited a reproduction, the second pair show a very good reconstruction based on the Wisby excavations.
The main incongruence is that real Wisby gauntlets show that most part of the iron was concealed under leather, and not viceversa. Other than this i feel that the finger lames overlap is simply wrong, it should start from the knucke and go to the fingertip and to the metacarpal.
I like them, i think that with just a bit of tweaking they can work good (i would correct the wrist area where a plate stands over all the others).

It depends on which gauntlets, actually. There were several in the book.

Personally, they look a hair cruder than Cad's (and Bear's, and Magnus') but they're certainly better than a lot of stuff on the market.
It's up to you now.
