finger gadlings

Hi,
can anyone show some decent close up pics or point me to an essay on how you attach gadlings on finger gauntlets?
I love stuff like Satsuke makes, but just don't see how the gadliings and metacarpal plates are attached to each other.
I have to assume they are rivetteed....

That is usually how they are done, the leather strips where the finger lames are attached, are riveted to the hand plate.
Otherwise you can find them sewn to the back of the glove.
