So, I have this nice 12oz buffalo hide, and I want to replace my old 16g cuisses. I was thinking I wanted water hardened with decorative rivits, or actualy splinted legs. Im wondering now about protection. I pound dents out of the 16g parts of my harness on a weekly basis, so which option would give me the best protection from both injury and pain? I pretty much want the armor to feel like my plate legs with a different look. How close can I get to that? I would really appreciate input from those who have fought in the different type of armor.
Thanks

Believe me when I say that you will get the same feeling, make sure you harden the leather and wear your padding.
