New Gambeson Plug!

Post by Uilleag »

I just recieved my new gambeson and I wanted to share it with you all! The craftsmanship on this is superb! I will post pics once I have the point attachments sewn on with my harness, but that will be in a few days....

This gambeson was made by Krista Capps. She specializes in garb, but this gambeson came out fantastic! It is close fitting so all of the arming points will work properly! I just can't be happier with it. With cost of materials, it came to just over $150.00! A fantastic price for this kind of craftsmenship!

I forgot to mention that this gambeson is made of 100% linnen and the quilting is 100% cotton. Very comfy inthe heat!

PM me your mailing address. She sent me all of the left over linnen. The yellow, that is, she provided the black....

I'll be more than happy to send you a small swatch. I need to keep the majority of the fabric though....I see new clothes in my near future!

So... $150.00 for the whole thing? Or am I misreading that?

Why waste money on my own linen and screw up when there is something that reasonable out there? I may be shooting her an email.

You read that correctly. If you provide the material it will be a lot less expensive. I provided the yellow linnen for about $25.00, so my cost was $130.00 or so.

That price is for what you see here. If you need dags, or the points attached etc, that will be extra.

They just moved to Florida, so I'm sure she would love the business! :D

This looks like some sorta odd booking photo...

Gambeson looks good, Dan, hope it doesn't clash with the surcoat... :D
