Moving to Trimaris

Post by Edwin »

I will be moving to the Tallahassee area at the end of November. I currently play in the Midlands of the Middle Kingdom.

I am curious about calibration differences between Trimaris and the Middle, anyone have some pointers?

Far out! Oldenfeld is a great group to call home, I can't wait to meet you. If you like, gimme a call and we can help you learn a bit about Tally.
As far as the fighting goes:
We fight a bit farther outside.
We call lighter to the face (1/2 ish power cuts)
I think you will be fine

Edwin-

Welcome to the family (and family it is, for although I moved away 5 years ago, I still consider Oldenfeld home, and visit whenever I can)!

Here is the locally based fighting group:

Cool, always nice to fight another stick.

Haven't been to the Midlands, but the Midders I've fought at Gulf Wars seemed to calibrate about the same.

What brings you down here? School, work?

Look up Duke Odo when you get to Trimaris. I hear tell he is a little fellow that doesn't hit too hard

Thanks all for the welcome,

I'm going to Tallahassee because I got married and that's where my wife is going to work. I managed to get a job that starts so that we are moving together. She has family in town as well.

See you folks in December I think. We'll see how long it takes to get moved in.

And those small Dragons will really bite you. Also don't let your poodle get too close to them either.

Good to have another fighter moving here. Welcome.

Fought some people around Michigan area and at various events. Can't recall any outstanding differences in calibration. Seemed normal, but the Mid may have regional differences.

Welcome to Trimaris, now get some on ya..........

That was the earliest greeting I received from Duke Bytor here in Trimaris.
He is one of many fine people you may meet in Trimaris, again Welcome.

Also depending on your arrival date, the 9-11 is an event called Yule Feast in Oldenfeld in December. I highly recommend making it to that event if you are able. Good times good people. Hope to see you their.

I like to think of it as welcoming new guests! Thanks for the plug V.

Come on down, I hope to meet you when you get here (although I do not get to Oldenfeld often, I do have a fondness for the group, they are great!). I think you will find that the majority of folks down here have about the same level of calibration as those from the Mid.

I firmly believe that communication is the key to avoiding misunderstandings about calibration, especially when trying to acclimate yourself to the area. Don't worry about it too much.
