Thanks Otto. Yes, that is partially what I meant. My rock hunting stems from spending my youth helping my grandfather gravel roads. That is where I became obsessed with agates. I also became interested in paleontology around this time as well. My college days were spent studying anthropology/archaeology.
I have several fossil hunting trips planned in the next couple of weeks. Have to get as much field work in before the snow hits.
With my lab set up next to my mail facilities, I will probably never leave the basement all winter...
