I was just going through the other steps and came across the straping method for the vambrace and rebrace. How did you come about this method? it seems a little odd.
Wouldn't pointing each seperate piece to an amring doublet allow more freedom? it looks like you have a alrge piece of leather pushing out and flapping about when you bend the arm.

Yes you're probably right it wouldn't be all that practical, but this armour is for display and I thought it looked OK. If I were making it for wear I agree the attachment of rerebrace to vambrace would need to be quite different - perhaps just one thinner strap to take the lacing for the coundiere.
