Samurai questions...

Post by Kolfinna »

Greetings and well met!

I have recently taken great interest to Japanese culture and society, so I plan to make some armour. Thing is, I'd like to make it out of plastic due to its lightweight properties (in time I'd like to make a metal suit...). Where can I find some pickle barrels, before I steal the neighbors' trash bins?

Thanks!

I used a material called kydex. It's the same thing that medical splints are made out of. If you happen have a friend who is a paramedic or something like that, you could probably get some for free or at least really cheap.

If you do go with the pickle buckets make friends with a few of the teenagers in the neighborhood. I'm sure a few of them work fast food. Tehy usually will set back a few buckets. If they work resteraunt those squarish 5 gallon butter buckets are pretty good too. I used to run a kitchen staff and had tons of these sitting around.
