How would I go about tinning plates for a brigandine?

(Scroll to the bottom). At some point you might thank Sinric for posting this valuable information for all of us. Image

In theory:

melt tin, flux plate, dip into molten tin. hold for a few seconds, remove and let cool.

Flux with? I'd probly reccomend plumbers paste flux.

Is Sinric a Laurel? If not, where does he live?

No Steve, he isn't.

He lives about 4 miles from me, in N.H.

Thanks Bob. Time to write letters. This fellow, whom I've never met, certainly fills the bill to my expectations, and beyond.

Do you happen to know if he plays SCA, and if so, his SCA name, Kingdom, and group? A search of the Rolls Ethereal turned up nothing on Craig Nadler.

Yes, he is in the SCA.
I think his full name is Sinric Mailweaver.
He's in East Kingdom - Stonemarche (NH).

Hi Steve,

Well, what do you expect from an orginization where most people know each other by 'persona' names? Image

Yes, his information is as Friedrich states, he also is a Wolfe Argent veteran. If you want to see tinning and brigandines, just set it up with me, and I will liason, as Craig is dreadful regarding e-mail communication. Fall/Winter is the best timeframe for any visits, as skydiving is another hobby of his.
