Books for Sale

Post by Brian W. Rainey »

Anglian Helmet From Coppergate - Dominic Tweddle : $100.00 + shipping.

Excavations at Portchester Castle, Volume 3 - Barry Cunliffe : $45.00 + shipping. Lots of information on objects found at Portchester castle (spurs, fittings, etc) and very interesting foldouts and details on the construction of the castle itself. Published by the Society of Antiquaries. Some tearing on dust jacket... otherwise in excellent condition.

The Yorkist age: Daily life during the Wars of the Roses - Paul Murray Kendall - $5.00 + shipping.

Military Obligations in Medieval England - $15.00 + shipping. SOLD

Books are in very good condition.

I mentioned it to the wife, and she said "you just bought those books by the Rupert guy!" In other words, we might have to wait until there is more room in the budget.

So I guess the Tweddle is up for grabs.

But honey!...

OK... but it is a NICE book! Hard to find...

I am narrowing my library focus more towards the armour collection side of things... so I am gathering up cash for new acquisitions. Things like very good condition Laking and the original Churburg in mint condition. I will probably have a handful of other books for sale soon, as well.

I am bumping this out of respect for Mr. Tewddle's book. I don't normally bump.

It really is a good book.

The book is excellent. An absolute need for early period helmet lovers. It is also increasingly difficult to find.

I will be cleaning out my library and garage this weekend. Will have lots of stuff for sale (I think I have leather, tools and other goodies piled up from a move two years ago) next week.

Probably going to put it on here and then move to E-bay after a week. Give y'all first grabs.
