That looks like it's coming along well, I can't wait to see the finished helm.

Beautiful work, Gundo.

My only problem with your workmanship is that looking at your craft fills me with dangerous and expensive sounding thoughts: "Hey, if I just buy a completely new kit, change my persona and start researching a time period and culture that I've never really touched before, I could wear armor like that!"

Jareth, I understand! I have allready given into temptation and sent off the $$$. Gundo, the duct tape double will be in the mail early next week. My spiffy new arming doublet is almost done.

bah! Every time I see a helmet that someone posts I get the idea to make one like it. I get the patterning done, start on the metal work, and then someone else posts a helmet picture that I want to make as well! Damn the burgundian kettle hat, damn the new sallet, damn the close helm! Image I'm going to go and hide back in my box.

Well ya know Stoffel, you could just donate a helm or 2 to charity, namley the me charity Image

seriously now, unless that offer gets taken... Gundo, that is looking beautiful, i would have never thought of doing the visor that way.
