Looking for cooling gel?

I remember reading some where of someone talking about cooling gel. From what I remember if you had a piece of metal you wanted to weld on and an attached piece that needed to stay cool you could put this gel on. Does anyone know what I am talking about. If so what is the real name and where can I get it.
