I thought I finished this piece a couple months ago, but the new owner is quite a bit smaller than the original pattern was for. I had made some pretty significant modifications to this piece.

I'm more pleased with it now than I was before, even though I know it is still rough.
Anyone care to comment on the changes? Good, bad or doesn't matter?

Nice work Becky! Do you plan on putting a high grit finish on it?</B></font><HR></BLOCKQUOTE>
Thanks for the compliments. Larien and Clang tease me all the time that my armour is too "pretty."
The finish is pretty much what the customer wants. I used a fine wire wheel then a couple passes with a tripoli compound.

Damn, that's looking nice. And I still cant get a decent roll on a curved edge.

Thanks again. My first few rolls were pretty much just folds along the edges. Now I work them in several stages to get a better rounded shape. I also found that I needed to leave more metal for the roll.
If you get the chance, have Clang show you how to do it. I watched him make a practice roll for me and kept that piece as reference.
Of course, the time period that I'm thinking of trying to work in has predominantly inward rolls, so I'll have to start over. Sigh...
