FS Burgundian Gothic Full Legs

Post by Sir Crispin »

I’m hoping to sell these (so I can buy more armour of course)

They are Illusion Armoury Burgundian Gothic Full Legs (http://www.illusionarmoring.com/).
They are strapped and have leather at the top for pointing to a coat or belt. They are mild steel, 16gauge.

Now being a Math geek I have read some game theory and want to tryout something called a Dutch auction (no slight intended to any who do now or have in the past resided in the Netherlands)

The way it works is this. I start the price at an absurdly high price. Each day I drop the price. The first person to post that they want it, gets it at that price. Buyer pays all shipping.

If you want the theory behind the auction send me a PM so I don’t bore the archive.

All that said, will any pay $350 USD?

Linkage not working, but interested in a trade for a German Gothic sallet (SCA bar grille type)?

If not interested in a trade, hopefully I can sell my helm and buy these legs as legs/bevor and gaunts are all I need to complete my joust kit!

Sorry, after I posted I realized I didn't include a size. I'm 6'4" but they're a little short on me. From the top to the middle of knee is 17". The articulation on the wrap plates should keep girth from being an issue.

I don't know why you couldn't see the pic's; they work for me. You can aways go to the Illusion site and look up the Burg. Gothic full legs

And sorry, I already have a bar grill sallet 8)

Dutch auctions are cool ! Google IPOd with one.

You're supposed to start out higher than you expect to sell them ... you never know, maybe someone would rather used and slightly more expensive than waiting 6 months to get them.

Sorry if I bored anyone, neat idea !

Can anyone see the links? I don't know what to do, they work when I click them.

I priced them higher than the Illusion set because you can get these NOW!

So, anyone for $325 USD?

And yes MJBlazek, the voices in my head told me that this was the moment that would torture you the most

Sir Crispin

How big of a guy are you, are you skinny or thick? 6'4" gives us a height but not a thickness ;)

Also you said full legs, are their greaves also as full legs would imply?

I called them ‘full legs’ because that’s what Illusion calls them. That way people can compare. They are actually ¾ legs with a demi-greeve that goes to mid chin.

I am 6’4â€Â

Firefox can't find the server at phvrf.yahoo.com.

Ditto on the links not working.
Stuff I will trade for: PWM controllers, steel sheet/rod/bar (4130/410/1050/toolsteel), ITC, casting supplies, wood tools, silver, oxpho blue, gun stuff (9luger/357mag/12g/7.62x54R/22LR), hammers, stakes, or pitch me!

When I get home tonight I'll poke around and see if I can get pics up.

They worked from home but not from my work comp. I'll see what I can do.

See it wasn't just me the links weren't working for! ;-)

Not that it matters, I know exactly what they look like as I used to have the full Burgundian Gothic suit from Illusion. Sold it to buy the horse, now that I have the horse (and trained her), I need armour.

I need these legs- someone buy my helm so I can get them!

Wow- those are some long damn legs- all the way to your chin!

I've meet a few girls like that, legs that seemed to go forever- but not all the way to their chin

There!
I shrank the files and just attached them to my original post.

For those of you struggling with wanting these beauties but not having the cash. I’m willing to hold them for up to 4 weeks while you pawn classrings or sell plasma. :D

Just hoping to get the most out of them ‘cause that means more armour for me 8)

Nope, buyer pays shipping. That way I have no insentive to favor someone who lives near me. Isn't that fair of me

I wont say they are dent free but there are no MAJOR dents. Dings are what I would them.

So anyone for $250 USD?

I'll have to check (I never weighed them) they're at home and I'm at work so it'll be this afternoon before I can let you know.

If I had to guess it would be 5-7kg (~10-15lbs)

My guess was a little off. More like 8kg, 17lbs.

No frills shipping to CA is ~$23, to Tazmania ~$71. Both without insurance

If I was not 5'4 110lbs I would really consider it. But I think they would be a bit big.

Well, they would be a FULL leg harness for you but,

You would walk a little like Frankenstein's monster; unable to bend at the knees
