Well.. On my way to GWW tomorrow morning.
Going through my armour bag and came accross my demis. They are almost completely brown at the moment. Any advise for getting rid of the rust and keeping it off.
Same goes for my new helmet. It's got a nice almost mirrored polish and I want to keep it that way. Any suggestions for keeping it that way?
Rust prevention and removal
SoFC did a GREAT article on this very topic!
Unfortunately I dunno where it is....
It might be here on the Archive, I think JT was going to put it up....
Try digging around on the essay part of this site.

I use sewing machine oil. Keep an oiled rag and the bottle handy. Just wipe your armour down with the oily rag after each use and every time it's been handled.
If you get duct tape on your stuff use gasoline to clean it off.

Pleae. As a former volunteer firefighter, I beg you- DO NOT USE GASOLINE AS A CLEANING SOLVENT. It is incredibly dangerous. The vapor is heavier than air, and can run along the ground for an long way and still provide a flash trail to the can and incidently, you. There are any number of good products on the market to remove duct tape and other adhesive residues (Gunk, Sticker Shock, etc).
