Introducing myself (new to forum)

Post by kfm »

Hello, I'm new here and would like to introduce myself. My name is Sam and I am from texas.

I have an interest in learning to make armor, and I'd like to try out the SCA.

I've been doing boffer combat for 11 years in amtgard and a closely related system. While not knighted there I am a fighter of some reputation. Soon I am moving to san antonio texas (again), and some contact info for the sca would be very helpfull to me.

I'm 26, married, and employed. I have some limited armoring experiance from living with clalibus (a member here).

Anyhow, just thought I'd drop a line and say hello so folks would know who I am if I spout off on any topics.

Hey Sam... WElcome to Ansteorra. :) If you have trouble contacting anyone in the San Antonio area (The Barony of Bjornsborg) please let me know and I'll put you in contact with good folks. When you start attending events, make sure to let me know and I'll look you up and say HI. I generally attend a lot of events in Austin and a few in San Antonio as well. Feel free to contact me privately if you need anything.

Hey Sam, I'll echo Morgan's welcome to Ansteorra. I'm from far up North (Stillwater OK) but still in the same kingdom :)

The people in Bjornsborg (San Antonio) are a wonderful bunch, and do persona play at an amazing level. The are warm and welcoming too, so you can look forward to some good times.

The Baron and Baroness, Master Godwin and Mistress Radagund are a hoot, and if you get the chance to run around with them or Mistress Mari, or Dominic, or any of a bunch of others its a pretty good time.

Welcome to the Archive and Ansteorra. Bjornsburg is a lively bunch with I think one of the best Baron and Baronesses in the Kingdom. Lots of good people there who will make you feel welcome. If you are ever Houston way give us a yell. Iaen Shire of Gates Edge (North Houston)
