Forged/Blown/Raised Goblet proj.

Post by Archie Zietman »

Hello.
While the site was down, I took the time when I would normally be checking posts and drooling over armour pics to get a "comission" well on it's way.
Background: By August 10th, I have to have created or written some kind of response to my two week trip to Israel (been back a little more than a week) and since I found the trip to be a watered down babified tour of the country, with 99 obnoxious sheltered children from my area, I can't exactly put that down in a public essay or else I'll be carted of to St. Olaf's Institute for the Mentally Insane, honestly Penland School of Crafts was the "time of my life", and this trip didn't come anywhere close no matter how much they told us in thick Israeli accents "Hi you guys! You are gonna have deh time of your life in Israel, deh land of our ancestors!" during the pre-trip meetings. okay...okay...enough bitching, and on the the artwork...

Anyhow, I thought this would be a good opportunity to do some smiting o' the hot metalz and blowing o' the hot glass and raising of the cuperous sheet. So I have been working for a good 4 days so far on the forged componant of a goblet, a mild steel stylized acacia tree. Almost done with it, about 2 more days work should do it. The Blown glass base is cooling in the annealer, and I need to pick up some copper plate to raise on my big ol' t stake and ball stake. I've done a few test runs with thinner guage sheet, and it's almost time to move on to the final componant. I'll just go and snap a few pikkies of the forge and the forged. Nack in a mo.
Merry Metal Pounding,
Stay cool and hydrated,
Archie :D
Godzilla vs. Megalon (1973), where it was ruled in a 7-2 decision "Megalon's emission of lightning from his horn-like appendage did not constitute a violation of Godzilla's civil rights." (from the Majority opinion)
