if your wandering, the fabric was put out so i could take fancy pics for my dad ( as i was 15 when i made it, he wanted it for the album, you know how it is) but i coulndt be bothered to turn it plus the light was dodgy...
i blued the helm to give it an authentic finnish, mind you i did polish first  as i do re-enacment and we like to be AUTHENTIC... tell me what you think. its either a german or venician jaw bone sallet....

Yes that is very nice, it has the right shape too.
Welcome to the forum and thanks for sharing with us.

You sure you were only 15 when you made that?

nice helm! is it one piece? two? four?

and hey, hal, its possible that someone whos 15 or 16 has been making armour for four or five years. i am and i have. i dont think age has so much to do with it as experiance. although a "kid" might actually be at an advantage because of his youthfull imagination. keep in mind that einstein came up with that whole relitivity deal when he was 19.

anyway... that IS an awesome helm, id love to see some more pictures.

I am with Hal, on the amazement of his age, I do not know many 15 year olds with the determination or focus to male something like that!

Congrats and heres to a long and prosporous armoring career to you!
