Tool Question

Post by Brian Belding »

Hi everyone,

I was just watching Warrior Empire : The Moghuls on the History channel, and they showed a guy at the Royal Armoury at Leeds reproducing some elephant armour. And to carve out the decorative edges (like on some articulated Gaunts) he used what looked like a belt grinder or band saw (but it had a wide band maybe 2") the band was made of what looked like steel, and he was only using one edge of it to carve the steel

Anyone know that this tool is because it looked to be incredibly easy to make those edges

Thanks in Advance

Contact the armouries and ask. i know Andrew bodley was working on a piece of Elephant armour as a handling piece. I'll ask when i'm there in a couple of weeks if you don't get a reply from them.
