Ok it's renfairre time around here again and the lil brother pestered me again. Last year I made him a sugarloaf helm off of Sinric's pattern. This year he got a bit more.

All of it it blued 16ga mild. Munitions grade with brass buckles. The shoulder were an experiment with patterning and still need the upright pieces (lance guards?).

I learned a lot working on this.. most of it patience...."Is it ready yet?"

Looks good! if I may suggest, the shoulders would be more form-fitting if you gave some depth to the main piece (or main 2 pieces) of each. The roping and recessed borders must have been a bit of work.

BTW, one name for the upright guards is "haute pieces".
