Thaden bascinet + russian aventail [pics]

Post by Dmitriy »

Hi guys,
These pictures were taken at the lab where I work during a Halloween party (I dressed up in armour for that, but had a different costume for the big party in the city I went to -- armor is just too easy a costume!). Anyway, thought you might like to take a look. The coat of plates and the splinted legs I am wearing are actually my roommate's (he made them, too). I have my own set, but it's out on loan at the moment.. and they aren't as nice Image

The bascinet is made by Patrick Thaden. The aventail and the chainmail shirt were imported from Russia. I know the helmet is sitting a bit wrong in the second picture, I didn't have time to adjust it when the lady took the photo.

It's a croquet mallet. Isn't that obvious?
