Lets See Your Archer kits
Seen a few topics for showing off your kit but havent seen to many people showing kit's (SCA and not) for combat archery so heres your chance lets see what you got, inspire me to get off my ass and make my SCA crossbow kit look half decent.
This is my older kit that I used for everything. It has undergone some changes and I no longer use it for CA, but I seem to be able to avoid the camera in my new CA kit. If I can find of pic of it I'll post it later.

In Aqua, Vitam; In Vino, Veritas; In Cervisium, Felicitas; In Scotos, Illustratio
This is my favourite picture of the kit I usually wear. Unfortunately I don't have other good pictures of the kit. I borrowed the helmet I was wearing in this pic. I now own a simpler sallet (no articulated tail).

This is what I was wearing at Hastings. Unfortunately everything was borrowed but I plan to make some 11th century kit of myself (I normally do only 15th century). I believe that my stance is wrong: 11th century archers were supposed to draw to the chest, not the cheek. I now know why: the nasal guard of the helmet gets in the way.
The picture was not shot at Hastings but at the Archeon, the Netherlands.

Ursus captured this photo during Defending the Gate earlier this year. http://ursus.smugmug.com/gallery/1314481/1/61980791
Ursus is everywhere.
This was the last time I successfully fired that crossbow. It was stolen out of the Black Talon war tent this past Pennsic just before the end of the Town Battle and turned into lost & found with a piece missing. Nice. I put down sword & board to go pick up the bow and it was gone!
No matter, I quickly got a replacement crossbow that's even more accurate the next day. I love Pennsic.

Yeah,
If They're coming I throw the bow down and start swinging. It takes practice to keep it from getting in the way. I use it with spear too.
