fishing for prices... as always

Post by MJBlazek »

Well, since Ken has finally come clean about it, i am back looking for a set of shoulders. I actually found a picture of a shoulder I really like.

I will try to put it up. If not I will post a link.
Does anybody think they might be able to quote it? In Mild and SS? This is not a projsect I am in a rush for, I do not need it untill Next August.

Thanks. Matt

Question: Is it for jousting? Because if not, I can tell you that would really suck for dismounted combat. I saw that armour in person in Vienna, beautiful. I know for a fact that those are indeed awesome shoulders, but everything's got its purpose. Those happen to be for the joust...

EDIT: I suppose a pair of the style he has on his right shoulder wouldn't be too far'fetched. I haven't been looking at armour the last few months, so I can't remember any good suit to cite for such haute guards (that's what they're called, right?) on a dismounted combat suit.

If that is the one I think it is, the entire left arm and shoulder is an exchange piece. If you are looking for something more versitile that just a jousting kit, have the specialized pieces made seperately.

Thats really what I am looking for.

Perhaps I was unclear in my original post. I am looking for a quote for the large pauldron only. The left arm one.

Thanks!

***edit again** I was unslear. I apologise. It did look like I was looking for a set of these.

I'll be taking custom work at the turn of the new year. I can build a prototype to photo here real quick. I'm fairly new so I'd build it for pretty inexpensive. With the prototype, you get a look at what you're buying before you send any money at all. Just a thought...

Franklin,

I might take you up on this! I get student loan re-embursments back on the 12th of January. If you have any pictures of anything else you have done I would love too see them.
