kong mace

Post by Blackoak »

Since these are legal in Gleann Abhann now I figured I'd make one. New weapons are always cool, especially ones that look cool. :D

I have yet to hit anyone or get hit with one of these, but it sure beats my old foam headed mace.

They are several styles being tested in GA currently. As long as they pass the compression ratios then you can use it. Not every kong mace is soft enough to pass so watch out.

Looking good, Uric. What did you use for a pommel?

Thanks for the laugh, Rev, and the very nice tunic.

Just made one too, and it is sweee-heeet.

The only trouble is, my knobbly head is bright pink, and it looks like a sex toy.

Any suggestions on colouring it?

but... but thats so you Aethstan

a simple wrapped leather bag should do nicely if you must hide it.
otherwise I just wrapped mine with a bit of dark coloured sports tape.

nice to know that they are legal in Drachenwald if I can ever make it back over there.

Adam, I bought a can of the spray on 'tool-dip' stuff. Seems to stick very good, but I haven't bashed people yet.

Audax, I bought a metal pipe cap and just cleaned it up on the belt sander. I sanded the rattan end down enough to barely fit in it. Lubed it up with liquid nails and screwed it on with a pair of channel locks. For extra security, I drilled a small hole in the cap and put a nail through it. (plus more glue) :D

The balance is SOOO much better with the end cap, not to mention better looking.
