shield clamps thingys

Post by bigjon »

I'm wondering if there is anyone out there who might sell or could make the metal gutter sheild clamps to hold down shield edges, like the vals series of shields?

Well, I've never made them before, but if you don't find someone who can help you, I could give it a try. I have some brass that's like 22 gauge, but the only steel I have is about 16 gauge and it's galvy, so I would have to soak the pieces for a few days to remove that.

Lemme know,

I just use small lengths of pallet banding. Bend them into a U, punch holes in the ends, put them on the shield and drill through the holes and through the shield, and then rivet them on.

Hey John,
I have made these before, I can shoot you some pictures, but to be honest, you can do it also...its crazy-easy.
Shoot me an email if you'd like some pics or directions.

PS: hey Cat, I can forward pics to you too if you'd like, I think these would be a great addition to the goodies you make...
