Shield documentation for A&S entry

Post by Maelgwyn »

I have finished a draft of my documentation for a set of 3 shields that I am entering in an A&S competition this weekend. These are birch shields covered with linen and painted, with rawhide edging. The document is online here and I would welcome any commentary, especially from those with experience in judging such contests in the SCA.

Two of the three shields can be seen here.

Some of you might also enjoy my armouring materials paper and my armour kit planning guide.
