Still havent had time to add different styles of the plackarts , so for now we just have the basic one with center ridgeline, but at least i got the stainless ones added for those that have been bugging, errr, I mean asking me about them.. hahaha

Have you tried multiple flutes yet?
I know we talked about you making one like the pic I sent. But real life made me put the project aside for a bit.
You still interested in trying your hand at it?

(on Pennsic) I know that movie. It is the 13th warrior. A bunch of guys in armour that doesn't match itself or anybody elses, go on a trip and argue and get drunk and get laid and then fight Tuchux.

Don't even remember what it looked like. Can you post it on here?
One is a pic of the extant breastplate.
The other (with the darkened areas) is the cutdown version I was looking at.

Yea, if its square like that...
I was worried you were gonna pop up something just like Icefalcons. his main plackart on most of his stuff has 3 peaks with 5 flutes. Ive seen it on historical pics but I try to avoid making something thats his main product. This one is way different in shape though.
You could look at whats on the site and figure in $20 more for the extra fluting on steel and $30 on stainless to know the price. You go ahead this week and buy the one on the website and fill in the size info, then put "Irish's squared off plackart" in the notes section and I will do it without charging you for the extra fluting.

Yeah, this breast plate is anywhere from 20-50 years later than the gothic stuff.

I take it its 16th century?
Yeah I would say early 16th century, it is an extant breastplate (or whats left of it) from a suit of Maximillian armour. Kind of like the one pictured below.
The other pic is of a 15th cent. suit of Gothic plate. The breastplate on it, more resembles Ice Falcon's placard.

That will definitely be a good design to add which will be totally different from the first one... Ive also got a simple trick I want to do to the outside edge of the first style which would add some flair as well. Now that I have a pic of a wrap, all I really need to do is play with some new plackart designs in steel which wouldnt cost too much in materials, plus they may (eventually) sell. Just got to be wary thats its spring and Im trying to keep my turnaround at about a week this year.
