Rus' Helm

Post by Donngal »

Just finished this one up. Its all mild 13 gauge top and cheeks. The back is 14. I stuck in the tail for effect not sure if Im going to use that one or another one. If I get my lamellar all done up I will have this on for part of the week at estrella, the other part I will be in my Hussar kit. I think I will have some similar ones in different states of decoration at Estrella in the Windrose booth also.

You just keep cranking out gret looking helms. Your work is always amazing.

That is a sweet helm. There is just something about that style helm that decorative brasswork looks so good on.

One day, when I can afford it, I'll try to get a custom commissioned helm like this from you... It is so pretty and perfect for my persona  (11-12thC Rus' Varangian)
