Helmets smell funny - a trip to the Higgins

I was doing a Google image search looking for Maximilian armor, and found this charming record of an elementary school third-grade visit to the Higgins Armory Museum in 1998.

Of particular amusement value was this picture:

"Trying on helmets was fun. Some kids didn't like it, though, because they smelled funny."
