What is your intended use? SCA, WMA, bookend?
Westerners, we have forgotten our origins. We speak all the diverse languages of the country in turn. Indeed the man who was poor at home attains opulence here; he who had no more than a few deiners, finds himself master of a fourtune.

If I'm not mistaken that is a repro made by Mr. William Hurt. as to getting it made-go for it if you have the funds. To have a reputable armourer produce such an armet would be a very large fee. and to produce such a piece of art a higher end armourer would be needed.

I know that Mr.Hurt had a plain armet and wrapper on his site that sold for $1500.00 now add the pierce work, etching and if applicable-gilding, and you're probably looking in the $2500-3000 range IMO.

You are not mistaken, that is his work. That is based off of the KD suit in Madrid.

I'm not sure how much he would want for that, or for a similar one, but you'd be getting a very, very good helmet.

And that would be a very good price. I could easily see it much higher mainly because of the caliber of armourer needed for this.

Just awesome helm.

Ah yes Will does fantastic work! He ranks among one of the top 15 most visible armourers in my opinion. And the range of his work is equally impressive. Very friendly and approachable fellow too.

yes I cannot reccomend him highly enough. I own a S13 made by him. fantastic quality, and a nice guy to boot. no he is not taking commissions for quite some time-for now.

yeah that $2,500-3,000 was probably on the lower end of the scale for estimate.

hey all, yah i thought it would stand out on the field unlike most helmets that dont carry originality.. I am gettin this helmet but not from william im goin threw a diffrent armoury, but on the skull it wont have that design cuz of the cost just to make the skull in to that design, so it would look identical except for the back of the skull..

so ya thats what my jousting/sca helmet is gona be.. not to mention buying the rest of the suit in stainless with etching.........
