part of the sabs for sale

Post by Jiri Klepac »

Hello Guys,

I would like to sell theese partly finished sabs. They are hardened and tempered 1050 springsteel. Customer changed his mind about the heel part during the production, so this is what I did not use in the end. I have no time to finish them and they are just collecting dust. They will come with the hand made hinges and fastening hooks (on the picture) They are sanded to 120 gritt. Will fit average size person, about 80 Kg, I have shoe size 43 and they fit me quite fine. I have never sold anything unfinished so not sure about the price, so let´s say 175 USD + shipping?

Someone please pick these up!
A great model for any armourer.

Nice work, Jiri - I'm impressed
with the tight edge rolls.

Really, Jiri has done the hardest part. Someone should pick them up and finish them up.

I wish I had the money, but I'm committed elsewhere right now for funding. If they are still around in a month, I'd be interested in taking them.

Am I correct in thinking these are a 15th c design?

Guys,

thanks for comments. Strogbow, they would not fit the kit you have ordered:-) and yes they should be early 15th cent.
Otto, just after I finish the great-hat I will contact you about the sallet.

Forgot to mention - they are allready stamped with my shop stamp (but don´t know if this is good or bad for you:-)

Chef, it seem like they will be here for a while...

Okay, if they will be there in 3 or 4 weeks, I will pick it up.

You and I need to talk about an open sallet for my wife at some near future point.
