I ordered my gorget from them and while the quailty is decent, the service was miserable.

I have ordered 2 riveted chainmail hauberks from them.

The first was exactly what I asked for, well priced, and I even got a call back I did not ask for to discuss a minor technical detail.

So I ordered a second hauberk for a friend. It was all custom work as he is a larger gentelman and wanted a specific crusader style. Communication the second time was lacking. I did receive the hauberk several months late after multiple phone calls from me and my wife.

I blame the archive and every single person I have bought stuff from on here (there is a list) every single armorer and private individual I have purchased something from on the archive has been polite and communicative.

I have been spoiled.

Thank You,
Tom Richardson

I've gotten a couple things from them. I'd give 'em a neutral review; acceptable for the price.

I bought one of these from them - http://schmitthenner.com/images/Trans%2014C%20wLion.jpg

Price was fair, and the communication waned, but was sufficient. I got what was depicted in the photos.

Good quality leather work, but I've only dealt with a few leather merchants, and it would seem the smaller one man operations are the best to deal with...
