Ave!

It's always good to see more SCA Romans around. Now as for your questions:

Roman soldiers did not wear a gorget. However, they did wear a focale, which is a scarf worn to protect the neck from chafing against the segmentata. A low profile SCA gorget would be easily hidden by one of these.

As for a lorica segmentata kit, AB Hammer sold them at one point you might ask about them through e-mailing Known World Treasures, and Tiberius Iulius Rufus was auctioning off one at one point, though it may have been sold, you can PM him.

If you just want a pattern, there is none better than Matthew Amt's Legio XX site. Even if you don't want a pattern, there is still nothing better that Matthew Amt's Legio XX site.

Your Grace, would you be willing to sell just a set of fittings? Hinges, buckles etc?

Ice Falcon does fine stuff, as it is his occupation. As he states somewhere on his website though, the Duke charges what its worth and he doesn't sell cheap stuff. But its worth it if you can afford it.

If you want historical authenticity, Matt Lukes is your man... and he does sell the parts seperately.

We do not sell parts. Do not want to step on another's toes. Only finished pieces and maybe full kits.

I will get some prices to you.

And yes- we are not cheap but you will get what you pay for.... :)

Cheers!
