...by all the re-enactors and authenticity mavens out there. I've got a nice pair of large 4-lame stainless knees I was going to make into a nice pair of 3/4 legs. So I'm making this very nice cuisse based on a pair of legs in the churburg collection and I couldn't do it. I couldn't defile them with 4-lame knees. I guess I'll have to make another pair with 2 lames. Maybe I'll attach the 4-lames to leather.

And yes I am well aware of the irony of worrying about authentic shape while working in stainless.
