Greetings folks!
I haven't been on here too much in the last year or two, but I just landed a new job a few weeks ago as IT manager for a steel company. I just found a bunch of 14ga mild steel stuff in the scap bin that I snagged in order to share the good. I can let this stuff go for literally pennies over shipping costs, although I would prefer Chicago area for obvious reasons.
I have probably 15+ pieces of 14 ga mild steel at scrap prices. This is not a public sale and will only be offered to AA members.
PM me for details and prices. Cheers!

Just to post some details so I can quit typing this all out in PMs-
I have 15 pieces of 7" X 24" of mild steel 14ga plate. These plates have some surface rust but no dents/dings- they were cut with a CNC Plasma cutter, so the edges are square. They were cut for a customer but cut incorrectly. We don't stock anything smaller than 24X24 so they went into scrap. I only started 3 weeks ago but told the foreman in the shop to watch out for scaps in 16 & 14 ga plate (we carry from 16 ga up to 2" thick plate). Most of our business is in structural I beam steel.
I paid for the pieces @ current scrap rate for steel *$.17 lb). That makes the price on the pieces just under one dollar each.
PM me if you want some. Cost + shipping is all I am looking for. I already put enough in my garage to last me 6 months + with as little hammer swinging as I get to.
Cheers!

PS- anyone in Chicago looking to place a steel order, let me know I can get you complete 4X8 sheets of 16 & 14 ga steel at just over wholesale cost.

Nope, no response at all. I'm only out $17, but I really wanted the metal. I wonder if Ingrid, or any of the of Chicago folks know what happened to him.
